Best AI trading coaches (2026, compared)

What is an AI trading coach?
An AI trading coach is software that reads your own trade history and points to the behaviours that cost you money: trading straight after a loss, sizing up on a losing day, cutting winners early, trading outside your hours. The useful ones show the trades behind each finding, so you can check it yourself.
It is not a signal service. A coach that tells you what to buy next is a different product with different risks. Every tool in the table reviews trades you already took.
Which tools review your own trades, and which give signals?
All six products in the table describe their AI as reviewing your own trades or journal: TradeZella (Zella AI), TradesViz (AI Coach Trading Review), FX Replay (Mentor AI, over backtest sessions), TraderSync (Cypher, per its App Store listing), Edgewonk ("AI-driven analysis") and Elave (AI Coach). None of the pages we read describe trade signals as part of the coach.
Live trades or backtest sessions: what does each coach read?
Journals (TradeZella, TradesViz, Edgewonk, TraderSync, Elave) read the trades you placed on your broker or prop account, imported automatically or by file. FX Replay's Mentor AI reads the trades you take in its replay sessions on historical data.
The difference matters. Live trades carry the behaviour you want to fix (fear, revenge, fatigue) and real fills and costs. Replay trades let you practise more trades per hour without risking money, but the emotional patterns are weaker because nothing is at stake.
Which AI trading coaches have AI on a free plan?
On the pages we read on 1 November 2026: TradeZella's pricing page states no free plan or trial and includes AI credits on all three paid plans. TradesViz's AI Coach review is for Pro and Platinum accounts, not its free plan. FX Replay's free Beginner plan lists no AI; AI starts on Intermediate. Edgewonk states no free plan, with a 14-day refund.
Elave's AI Coach shows a free account today's read: the top finding from its detectors. The full habit with its evidence and cost, the weekly review, every habit, the journey and nudges are included with the Elave Bootcamp, which is by application.
TradeZella: Zella AI
TradeZella describes Zella AI as reading your trades and surfacing "time-of-day patterns, tilt cycles" and setups. AI use is metered in credits: 500 a month on Essential, 1,500 on Pro and 3,000 on Ultra, resetting each billing month. Essential is $35 a month, or $26 a month billed $315 a year. Trades arrive through 500+ broker and prop-firm integrations.
TradesViz: AI Coach Trading Review
TradesViz says its AI Coach reviews your selected trades and ranks findings by dollar impact and confidence. Its blog post says the review is live for Pro and Platinum accounts, with no separate quota on the checks and a rate-limited optional takeaway. The pricing page showed us Pro at €17.99 a month, or €13.49 a month billed annually; the page localises currency, so check it in yours.
FX Replay: Mentor AI for backtest sessions
FX Replay is a replay platform first: you step through historical data candle by candle and take practice trades. Mentor AI analyses that trade history across sessions to find recurring execution issues. The free Beginner plan has no AI; Intermediate has limited AI queries and Pro unlimited. Its pricing section shows Intermediate at $15 a month billed $180 a year, while its FAQ lists $17.99 for monthly billing.
Edgewonk and TraderSync
Edgewonk's home page mentions "AI-driven analysis" but we found no named AI coach feature on the pages we read. It costs $35 a month or $197 for 12 months, with the same features on both, and supports automated imports from 200+ brokers, including MT4/MT5 sync.
TraderSync's website blocked our reads (HTTP 403) on 1 November 2026, so only its App Store listing is cited: it describes Cypher as an AI trading assistant that reads your trade history. Price, free access and import method are marked "Not verified" rather than copied from third-party summaries.
Elave: AI Coach
Elave's AI Coach finds patterns in your own trades: revenge trades, tilt, oversizing, early or late exits, rule breaks, trading at news time, session drift and loss chasing. Statistical detectors run over your trades and the text comes from fixed templates. A free account gets today's read (your top finding); the full habit with its trades and cost, the weekly review, every habit, the journey and nudges are included with the Elave Bootcamp.
Two more parts are open to every signed-in user: rule tests (try a fix on your own trades for a set period) and a page that shows what the coach knows about you, where you can pause, export or delete it. A habit the coach finds can become a Guardian rule on MT5, starting with 7 days in shadow, logging only.
Ask Elave is the in-app assistant: it answers from curated help and your own live data, and nothing changes in your account without your Confirm.
Can I just use a general AI chatbot on a CSV?
Yes, and it can be useful for a one-off look: export your trades, upload the file and ask what stands out. The costs are practical. You repeat the upload every time, the chatbot does not know your rules, accounts or prop-firm limits unless you type them in, and it may state a pattern from ten trades as confidently as from a thousand.
There is also a privacy cost: your full trade history, account sizes and sometimes account numbers go into a general service. Read its data-use terms, and strip account identifiers from the file before uploading.
AI coach or human mentor?
They answer different questions. An AI coach is good at counting: which hour, setup or state loses money, across hundreds of trades, without getting tired. A human mentor is good at judgement: whether a setup was valid, why you hesitated, what to practise next. Many traders use the software to find the pattern and a person to change it.
What should I check before trusting an AI finding?
- The trade count behind it. A pattern from 8 trades is a hint; from 80 it is worth acting on.
- Whether you can open the trades it is based on and agree with the label.
- What it cannot see: missed trades, trades on accounts you did not connect, and your reasons, unless you write them down.
- Whether the finding is a cost you can measure (money lost to trades within 15 minutes of a loss) rather than a personality label.
- Whether acting on it is testable: make one change, then check again after 20 or more trades.
How do I choose an AI trading coach?
- Start from your data: the coach is only as complete as the trades it receives. Check that it syncs your exact platform and every account you trade, including prop accounts.
- Decide what you want reviewed: live trades (journals) or practice trades (replay platforms).
- Check what the free plan really includes. A trial lets you look; a free plan lets you keep history.
- Read how AI use is metered (credits, query limits, rate limits) and how many reviews a normal month needs.
- Ask for evidence: every finding should link to the trades behind it.
- Check privacy controls: can you see, export and delete what the coach stores?
- Run it for at least 20 to 30 trades before judging it; a coach cannot find a pattern in five trades.
What can an AI coach not see?
Only what is in the data. It does not see the trades you skipped, the setups you hesitated on, or why you closed early, unless you write it in a note. It cannot tell a planned exit from a panic exit by price alone. It also cannot see accounts you did not connect, which matters for prop traders who split risk across firms. That is why the most useful coaching combines the automatic numbers with a short note per trade, written the same day.
How this comparison was made
Each cell was read on the vendor's own pricing, feature, blog or help page, or its official App Store listing, on 1 November 2026, and links to that page. "Not verified" means the vendor's page did not state the fact or blocked our read; it does not mean the feature is missing. We do not use search snippets or third-party roundups as sources. Prices are copied as shown, in the currency shown. Elave's row is ours, and states its limits. We will re-check these pages at least monthly.
FAQ
What does an AI trading coach do?
It reads your own trade history and points to behaviours that cost you money, such as revenge trades, oversizing after a loss or trading outside your hours. It does not give trade signals.
Which AI trading coach is free?
On the vendor pages we read on 1 November 2026, TradeZella, TradesViz and FX Replay put their AI on paid plans and Edgewonk states no free plan. Elave shows a free account today's top finding; the full coach is included with the Elave Bootcamp.
Does an AI trading coach work?
It can find patterns faster than a manual review, if it shows the trades behind each finding and you have enough trades for the pattern to be real. It does not trade better for you; the change is still yours to make.
Is it safe to upload my trades to an AI tool?
Read the tool's data-use terms first, and remove account numbers from any file you upload to a general chatbot. A dedicated journal should let you see, export and delete what it stores.
Can an AI coach review backtest trades?
FX Replay's Mentor AI analyses trades from its replay sessions. Elave keeps imported backtests apart from the live journal, and its coach reads your journal trades.
