Free MT5 Telegram alerts for prop firm limits.

Elave's MT5 Telegram alerts come from Elave's own bot, linked to your free Elave account. Once the Elave EA syncs MetaTrader 5, the bot warns you at 50%, 80% and 100% of each prop account's daily loss and max loss limits, and brings your trading journal, last trade and voice notes to your phone.

How do I get MT5 trade notifications on Telegram?

Elave sends MT5 notifications to Telegram through its own bot, tied to your Elave account. It takes four steps.

  • Create an Elave account. No card is needed.
  • Connect MetaTrader 5 with the Elave EA. On Windows the Elave Connector installs it; on a Mac you attach the EA file to a chart by hand.
  • Link Telegram (next section), then add each prop account with its firm, phase and size, so the alerts know the firm's limits.
  • Choose how closed trades reach you: one rating prompt a day by default, or a card after each closed trade.

Do I need to create a bot or a token?

No. You use Elave's bot, so there is no bot to build, no token and no chat ID to copy. New to Elave? Create your account right inside Telegram. Already on Elave? Open Settings → Telegram in the web app, get an 8-character code and paste it in the chat.

Linking is the opt-in: once linked, alerts are on, and you switch off the ones you don't want in /notifications. Without a linked account, the bot answers only the start, help, link and Bootcamp info commands. /unlink disconnects Telegram from your account at any time.

Can Telegram warn me before my prop firm's daily loss limit?

Yes, for prop accounts synced from MetaTrader. Elave tracks two limits on each account, the daily loss limit and the max loss limit (overall drawdown), on the firm's own basis: balance or equity, static or trailing, and the firm's trading day. Each alert names the account and the money left.

  • 50% of a limit: a warning that half of the room is used.
  • 80%: "One more loss could end the day", with a Stop for today button.
  • 100%: the limit is reached. "Step away for today."
  • Each level fires once per account per firm day. If a loss jumps past two levels at once, only the highest is sent. An account that has already breached or passed stops alerting.

At what % do alerts fire, and can I mute them?

At 50%, 80% and 100% of each limit, measured against the firm's own figure.

  • 50% is a warning. You can switch it off in /notifications, and during your quiet hours it waits until they end.
  • 80% and 100% are safety alerts. They cannot be muted, and they arrive at once, with sound, even inside quiet hours. They are the only alerts in the bot that ring through quiet hours.
  • /mute pauses trade alerts for a while, and /tradealerts chooses which trade pushes you get.

Can I stop trading for the day from Telegram?

Yes, when Guardian is on for that MT5 account. The 80% alert carries a Stop for today button. One tap ends your trading day, and your usual Guardian rules come back by themselves at your firm's next daily reset.

If Guardian is not on for that account, the button opens Guardian in the web app, where Stop for today is also one tap. Use it the moment you reach your own daily stop, before the urge to win it back becomes another trade.

Can I see my journal or last trade in Telegram?

Yes. Everything comes from your synced Elave journal, so there is nothing to type into the chat.

  • /desk: your private desk, with journal, Guardian and settings.
  • /journal: your trades and stats.
  • /review: your last closed trade, ready to review.
  • /room: how much you can still lose today before each prop limit.
  • /guardian: Guardian's state, plus a message when a rule warns, holds an entry or is overridden.

Can I record a voice note as a journal entry?

Yes. Send a voice note with /debrief and Elave turns it into a note in your journal. It is the quickest way to keep a voice trading journal: say why you took the trade, or how the loss felt, while it is still fresh.

Does the bot place trades?

No. Nothing in the Elave bot sends an order to your broker. It reads your journal and your prop-limit room, delivers alerts, and can end your trading day through Guardian. Orders stay in MetaTrader or your trading platform.

On MT5, the Elave EA runs Guardian. It never opens a trade on its own; at your prop firm's daily limit it closes open trades.

Can I set price alerts and a watchlist on Telegram?

  • /alert sets a price alert, for example /alert EURUSD < 1.05. Price alerts are checked periodically, not tick by tick.
  • /watch keeps your symbols in a watchlist that Ask Elave can use.
  • /notifications chooses which alert types reach you.

Is there an economic calendar and COT report on Telegram?

Yes. These are context cards to plan your day with, not trade instructions.

  • /calendar: the high-impact economic events ahead.
  • /cot: Commitments of Traders positioning from the CFTC.
  • /today and /brief: the day's market picture in a few lines.
  • /macro: a risk-on or risk-off read.
  • /seasonality: seasonal base rates for a symbol, never a prediction.
  • /levels: pivot, support and resistance from the last completed session.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

The bot is free with an Elave account: no card, no subscription. Elave is funded by partner-broker relationships and by the Elave Bootcamp, a coaching programme by application. Without an account, the bot only explains how to sign up and link.

On Telegram, the weekly review card, lessons and coach nudges come with the Elave Bootcamp.

Can I ask questions about my trades?

Yes. /ask answers questions about your own trades or a trading concept, using your synced journal. You can also type a question straight into the chat.

Does it work in groups?

Yes. In a trading group, /status shows whether the group is set up and what the bot posts, /setup routes its posts into the group's topics, /leaderboard lists only members who opt in, and /mystats shows a member's own 30-day card. Members without a linked account get a private sign-up link.

Communities that run trading groups can also join Elave's partner programme.

FAQ

How do I get MT5 alerts on Telegram?

Create an Elave account, connect MetaTrader 5 with the Elave EA, then link Elave's Telegram bot with an 8-character code from Settings, or sign up inside Telegram. You never create a bot or paste a token. Add each prop account's firm, phase and size, and the bot starts warning you before its limits.

Can Telegram warn me before my prop firm's drawdown limit?

Yes. For each prop account synced from MetaTrader, Elave tracks the daily loss limit and the max loss limit on the firm's own basis. You get a warning at 50% of a limit and critical alerts at 80% and 100%. Each level fires once per firm trading day, never as a burst.

Can I mute the prop-limit alerts?

Only the 50% warning. You can switch it off in /notifications, and it waits for your quiet hours to end. The 80% and 100% alerts are safety alerts: they cannot be muted and they arrive with sound even during quiet hours, because a trader still at the screen near a limit needs to hear it.

Can I stop trading for the day from my phone?

Yes, with Guardian on for that MT5 account. The 80% alert carries a Stop for today button: one tap ends your trading day, and your usual rules come back at your firm's next daily reset. Without Guardian on, the same button opens Guardian in the web app instead.

Is there a trading journal Telegram bot?

Yes. Once you link the Elave bot, /journal shows your journal summary, /review your last closed trade, /room the room left before each prop limit and /desk your private desk. The data is your own synced Elave journal, so there is nothing to type into the chat.

Can I keep a voice trading journal on Telegram?

Yes. Send a voice note with /debrief and Elave turns it into a note in your journal. Talk through why you took a trade or how a loss felt while it is still fresh, without typing on your phone. The note sits with the rest of your synced journal.

Does the Elave Telegram bot place trades?

No. Nothing in the bot sends an order to your broker. It shows your journal, Guardian status and prop-limit room, sends the alerts you keep switched on, and can end your trading day through Guardian. Placing and managing trades stays in MetaTrader or your trading platform.

Is the Elave Telegram bot free?

Yes. The bot is part of the free Elave platform: no card and no subscription. You need a free Elave account to link it; without one, the bot only shows how to sign up, link and ask about the Bootcamp. The weekly review card, lessons and coach nudges on Telegram come with the Elave Bootcamp.

Do the alerts work for platforms other than MT5?

Partly. The journal commands read every account that syncs to your Elave journal, whatever the platform. Live prop-limit alerts run on the reports Elave receives from MetaTrader, and Stop for today needs Guardian, which runs on MT5 only. Check an account in the app before you rely on alerts for it.

Is Elave a Telegram bot for forex traders?

Yes, built for MetaTrader forex and CFD traders, prop firm accounts included. It brings your MT5 journal, prop-limit alerts, price alerts and market context such as the economic calendar and COT positioning to Telegram. Futures accounts that sync to the Elave journal show up in the journal commands too.
