TradeZella alternatives (2026, compared)

A TradeZella alternative is another trading journal that imports your trades and reviews them, usually for less money or with a free plan. TradesViz, Tradervue and Elave state free plans; Edgewonk and TraderSync list paid plans. TradeZella states the largest broker count, so check your platform first.

Why traders look for a TradeZella alternative.

TradeZella's pricing page starts at $26 a month billed yearly ($315) or $35 month to month, and it states no free plan or free trial. Most people searching this want one of three things: a free plan, a lower price, or a platform or feature TradeZella handles differently.

  • A free plan: TradesViz Basic (stocks only), Tradervue's free plan (monthly import cap) or Elave ($0, no card, no subscription).
  • One simple price: Edgewonk lists one plan at $35 a month or $197 for 12 months.
  • A native phone app: TradeZella says it is web-only. TraderSync lists an iPhone and iPad app, and TradesViz links iOS and Android apps.
  • TopstepX or ProjectX by sync: TradeZella lists these as file upload only. Elave syncs them with a username and API key.

How to move your trades out of TradeZella.

TradeZella's help center says there isn't a direct option to back up or export all data, so plan the move before you cancel. Your broker or platform is the cleaner source for past trades, and the TradeZella file is the backup for your notes and tags.

  1. In TradeZella, go to the All tab within Trades, tick the trades you want, open Bulk Actions and choose Export Trades to CSV.
  2. In the pop-up, choose All to include every available column, then download the file. Keep it as your record.
  3. Copy anything the CSV does not hold, such as screenshots, while you still have access.
  4. Export your history from the platform itself: on MT5, the History tab, right-click, Report, then HTML.
  5. Import that file into the new journal. In Elave, open the journal's import, upload it, and check the mapped columns before saving.
  6. Connect the platform so new trades sync from now on, then compare a recent week against your statement.

Importing a TradeZella CSV into Elave.

Elave has no dedicated TradeZella importer, and we have not tested a real TradeZella export. The importer maps columns from any CSV and lets you correct them. It needs symbol, direction, open price and open time on every row, and it reports each row it can't read. It recognises MT5 History reports, MT4/MT5 CSV files, TradingView's List of trades and Myfxbook exports directly, which is why the platform's own report is the better first choice.

What you lose if you leave TradeZella.

These are real gaps. Check them against how you trade before you switch to Elave; the table shows the same columns for the other journals.

  • Broker coverage: TradeZella states 500+ brokers and prop firms. Elave syncs six platform families and has no direct sync for stock brokers such as Interactive Brokers.
  • Manual entry: TradeZella lists auto-sync, upload and manual imports. Elave has no manual trade logging.
  • Backtesting: TradeZella's pricing page lists manual backtesting and automated AI runs on Pro and Ultra. Elave has no bar-by-bar replay; its backtest report reads a TradingView Strategy Tester CSV.
  • AI on every plan: TradeZella's plans include Zella AI credits. On Elave, the free account gets today's read, and the full AI Coach comes with the Elave Bootcamp.
  • A connection with nothing to run: TradeZella reads MT4 and MT5 with an investor password. Elave's EA runs in your own terminal, so it syncs only while that terminal runs.

What you gain with Elave.

  • The journal, sync and analytics at $0, with no card and no subscription, including futures sync.
  • TopstepX sync through a ProjectX username and API key, where TradeZella lists file upload. Check that your account includes API access.
  • Guardian on MT5: it checks entries against your rules and closes open trades at your prop firm's daily limit. Enforcement is MT5 only.
  • Telegram: prop-limit alerts, a voice note that becomes a journal note, and one-tap Stop for today.
  • A report on your TradingView Strategy Tester export, with Monte Carlo and in-sample versus out-of-sample checks, kept apart from your live journal.

Stay with TradeZella if.

  • Your broker is on its Auto Sync list and not on anyone else's.
  • You rely on manual trade entry or its backtesting inside the journal.
  • You use Zella AI and Zella Agents daily and the monthly credits suit you.
  • You trade stocks or options through a broker that Elave can't sync.
  • Your history, notes and screenshots live there and you have no reason beyond price to move: a free plan with the wrong platform costs you more in missed trades.

FAQ

What is the best free TradeZella alternative?

It depends on what you trade. TradesViz Basic is free forever but covers stocks only. Tradervue's free plan caps monthly imports. Elave costs $0 with no card and no subscription, and includes MT4, MT5 and futures sync, while its full AI Coach comes with the Elave Bootcamp. Check your own platform first.

Does TradeZella have a free plan?

Its pricing page states no free plan or free trial on the day we read it, 2 November 2026. The three plans are Essential, Pro and Ultra, from $26 a month billed yearly or $35 month to month. Pricing changes, so confirm on the linked TradeZella page before you decide to switch.

Can I export my trades from TradeZella?

Yes, as a CSV from the All tab: select trades, open Bulk Actions and choose Export Trades to CSV. TradeZella's help center also says there isn't a direct option to back up or export all data, so save screenshots and anything else the file does not hold before you cancel your plan.

Can I import a TradeZella CSV into Elave?

Possibly, through the column-mapping step, but Elave has no dedicated TradeZella importer and we have not tested a real export. Each row needs symbol, direction, open price and open time. The platform's own report, such as an MT5 History report, is the better source, and Elave recognises that format directly.

Which TradeZella alternative works for futures?

TradesViz includes futures on Pro and Platinum. Tradervue, Edgewonk and TraderSync state futures support. Elave syncs NinjaTrader 8 on Windows, including connected Tradovate and Rithmic accounts, and TopstepX through a ProjectX API key, and charges nothing. Elave journals these accounts, but its on-chart enforcement runs on MetaTrader 5 only, not on futures platforms.

Should I leave TradeZella for Elave?

Not if you need manual entry, journal-based backtesting or a broker that Elave can't sync. Consider it if you trade MT5, NinjaTrader or TopstepX, want your journal at $0, and want prop-firm limits enforced on MT5. Try it on one account next to TradeZella for a week before you cancel anything.

Keep going.
